Traveling to Hawaii, like any tropical place, is wonderful because you really don’t need many belongings. Even if you are visiting on a 10-day trip, you’ll be fine with a carry-on suitcase. This also makes it less hassle to travel. Clothes on Maui are simple and laid back. In fact, most of the time you’ll probably be in surf shorts or a bikini.

You’ll want shoes, socks, and a shirt and athletic pants you don’t mind getting dirty. Muddy situations can happen easily if hiking trails have recently been rained on.

If you’re planning a trip to Haleakala Summit, you’ll also want warm clothes. It gets so cold here that it can snow. This means you’ll want to layer shirts with sweaters and a heavy jacket.
