No permits are required by those watching unless you are looking to create your own festive light show, making this perfect for visiting spectators! If you are looking to snag a bite to eat while you wait for the midnight hour, we recommend calling ahead for reservations and wait times. There are a number of restaurants hosting holiday specials but their availability might be in limited quantities. You could even start the New Year with a completely different perspective and watch the island light up from a panoramic view on the ocean with a NYE Dinner and Cocktail Cruise. There are a number to choose from but be sure to also reserve ahead, they sell out almost every year!

Should you opt for a more quiet evening, your West Maui vacation rental will prove to be the perfect oasis to spend the transition into 2018.
